Cineworld, Greenwich

This is a very trendy cinema and great for older kids. The cinema is inside the 02 and situated almost in the dome so you take escalators up to the cinema.

I’ve taken my little one here a few times and it’s a nice cinema. Personally, I do not think it is particularly child-friendly and at purchase you cannot reserve seats so you have to go in and pick seats. In most cinemas is fine but this cinema is often very busy and on two occasions I’ve had to get a refund as no seats together for me and four year old. Yes, I know being super early would have helped me both times! Mostly when I go it has lots of teenagers there which is great for that – it just doesn’t have a family feel to me. It is a lovely cinema though and all the theatres feel really modern.

There is a huge selection of cinema treats and snacks to pick from and a nice Sky Bar where you can wait before the movie starts. Personally I would say this is for children over eight.

Address: The 02, Peninsula Square, London SE10 0DX.

Cafe: No cafe in the cinema – there is a Sky Bar but not particularly child friendly. In the 02 Arena there are some nice child friendly restaurants such as TGI Fridays and Garfunkles.

Toilets: Yes, fully accessible with baby change.

Pram / wheelchair / mobility friendly: Yes, wide smooth paths and lifts.

Parking: There is parking at the 02 and it is free if you are going to the cinema. You must remember to keep your cinema ticket and show this as you leave. If you’re not going to the cinema parking can cost up to £20.

Nearest Station:

Train: Greenwich Train Station National Rail then you would need to get the bus 188 to North Greenwich and get off at North Greenwich Station. The 02 is about a five minute walk from there.

DLR: Greenwich DLR. You would then to get the bus 188 North Greenwich and get off at North Greenwich Station. The 02 is about a five minute walk from there.

Tube: North Greenwich. This will bring you right to the 02!

Bus: Many buses stop at North Greenwich station. Click here for more details.
