Stanhill Farm is a family run farm on the outskirts of London in Wilmington, Kent. The farm shop is open all year round, there is a seasonal Pick Your Own and Pumpkin Patch.
From mid-July to late September they have a giant Maize Maze. Check out their website for aerial views – it’s amazing!

MUMMY’S GIN FUND SAYS:

Saturday of the August Bank Holiday was a sunny morning so we (hubby, son aged eight and daughter, two) headed to Stanhill Farm to do the Maize Maze. Our son was desperate to go last year but we missed it as it is seasonal.

This year (2015) the maze was a fantastic giant dinosaur plus a littler dinosaur footprint. The large dino maze was vast with paths wide enough for the buggy (although our two year old ran around the entire maze and kept hiding!). Not only were we provided with a map in the shape of a T-Rex but a Jurassic Jumble activity card. We had to head to a ‘nest’, copy the patterned eggs inside (10 in total – a bit like a treasure hunt). The goal was to work out which dinosaur had the most eggs, with the reward at the end being a lollipop!

My son and husband loved that, whilst my two year old and I picked daisies. We spent over 90 minutes in the mazes (promise we only got lost a couple of times!). Hubby was pleasantly surprised so huge tick from him. The price was reasonable too. Once we got our reward we did a spot of pick your own sweetcorn which all of us loved it.  As a family we would highly recommend Stanhill Farm and we will definitely be heading back next year for the amazing Maize Maze. We’re also planning on keeping an eye on the seasonal pick your own as we had such fun picking corn which tasted delicious too!
