Healthy Meringues

A yummy sweet treat, that’s good for you.


  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup


  • Weighing scales
  • Microwaveable bowl
  • Mixing bowl
  • Wooden spoon
  • Soup spoon (we find that kids find the shape easier to scoop out the mix and pop in to the muffin cups)
  • 12 muffin cases
  • Muffin baking tray (to hold 12)


1Combine egg whites and maple syrup in a bowl, turn the flame on the stove to the lowest setting possible.
2Using a hand blender whisk meringues on the stove.
3Whisk for 4-5 minutes in total until stiff and glossy.
4Fit a pastry bag with a round tip and pipe meringue kisses 1 inch in diameter onto baking paper.
5Bake at 200 degrees for 2 hours and allow to cool for an hour before serving.
