Really delicious, gooey brownies.
- 115g butter
- 225g soft brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract or orange extract
- 200g dark chocolate
- 2 eggs
- 170g plain flour
- 100g white chocolate chips
1Turn on oven to 180c. Line a 20cm square tin with grease proof paper. If I do a double batch I use a roasting tin (25x30cm).
2Cream together the butter and the sugar. I usually soften the butter with a burst in the microwave on low to make it easier
3Melt the chocolate in a bowl. I do this on a medium setting in the microwave.
4Add the melted chocolate and the vanilla or orange extract (depending on your preference for flavour) to the butter and sugar and whisk together.
5Crack in the eggs and whisk.
6Sift in the flour and whisk together.
7Add in the chocolate chips and stir through so distributed well.
8Pour into the tin and put in the middle of the oven for 25 mins. If you like your brownies slightly gooey, reduce the time by a couple of minutes.
9Turn onto a wire rack to cool.
10Cut into bite sized treats.
