#belikepip and get a FREE MGF DISCOUNT CARD

Some days, something happens that changes how you do things, how you think about things and the choices you make.

Yesterday was one of those days at MGF-HQ.

Early in the morning, we had a brilliant post by Lee Turner-Conn about an amazing man called Pip. Pip works on the northbound line of the Northern Line in London’s tube. A space that we commuters lovingly refer to as ‘living hell’. It’s hot, it smells, it’s crammed, the trains are packed, everyone’s in a rush. It’s pretty grim.

But then there is Pip. Pip is a ray of sunshine, making that temporary moment of stressful horror so much more comfortable. He jollies people along, he cracks jokes over the tanoy, he has a catchphrase (he’s so cool, he actually has a catchphrase), he helps lost people, worried people, visiting people, local people and most impressively to us – he helps pregnant women find seats.

He goes out of his way to make that moment easier, less frightening, less stressful and more comfortable for everyone. Regardless of who they are. He is everyone’s cheerleader, supporter and guide. That’s why we started our campaign (www.facebook.com/MGFund and Twitter @GinFund) to get him the recognition he deserves. And it worked: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/london-tube-worker-underground-pregnant-women-seats-facebook-praised-hero-a7170306.html#commentsDiv

Pip gets recognition

We spent the whole day encouraging people to #belikepip. And then, we had our lightbulb moment. We need to put our money where our mouth is. WE want to #belikepip.

Mummy’s Gin Fund is one massive group hug. A sisterhood. A brotherhood. A parenthood.

Mummy’s Gin Fund is a huge squad of cheerleaders, shouting and waving our pompoms at your successes. Together, we are supporters, helpers, mentors, hand-holders, Gin-pourers, listening-ears, advice-givers, non-judgers, sharers, carers and more.

We ARE Pip.

For that reason, we at MGF-HQ want to make your lives that little bit easier. We want to make stressful times less horrible. We want to take some of the strain off you. We want to share the love we get from local businesses with you. So………

We want to give back, to share and to help.

(For those of you who have already paid for a card, thank you. We will refund your money this week).

You can claim over 100 amazing discounts and special offers from local independent businesses and big national brands. All. For. Free.

We are adding new businesses all the time and have some amazing names lined up in the wings, waiting to excite you.

So, what’s stopping you. Simply go to our shop and pick up your brilliant MGF Card for absolutely nothing. Not even postage. Be quick though, we can’t afford to do this for long.

And in the meantime, maybe you can #belikepip too. Keep your eye out for that bump or person less able to stand. Is there someone who lives near you that could do with a hand? Is there a friend who really needs a listening ear? What can you do you make someone else’s life a bit easier? Pass it on. #belikepip.
