12 Days Of #nomumleftbehind Christmas Kindness

Let’s face it. There’s one bloke who gets his big smiley face on all of the TV adverts  and in the grottos, but we all know who REALLY does all the work – that’s the one in the cloth cap and apron beavering away in the background with spreadsheets coming out of her ears. Good old Mother Christmas.

So this year, our Christmas Appeal is going to be a bit different. We are placing Mother Christmas – and all other mums – on the pedestal they deserve. We’re not asking for money or presents – we are asking for the gift of kindness.

For 12 days, starting on December 9th, we will be posting a suggested random act of kindness on our Instagram and Facebook feeds. We want you to find a mum and do something lovely for her. You can do anything  from smiling at her in the playground, to slipping a bar of chocolate into her nappy bag, to leaving a little note on her desk or to taking her out for a G&T. No act is too small; something as simple as saying ‘hello’ can make a huge difference to someone’s day.

Once you’ve done it, we would LOVE it if you could please share what you’ve done or received on Instagram or Facebook using the hashtags #nomumleftbehind and #12daysofkindness. You can comment on one of our posts or post your own. It could be a blog post, Instagram story or just a sentence. Please do tag us and use the hashtags so we can find it. We’ll be sharing as many as possible throughout the 12 days to help us all remember the true meaning of Christmas, as well as the incredible women who make it so special.

It would be absolutely brilliant if you could tell the other mum why you’ve done it and encourage them to take part in our 12 Days Of #nomumleftbehind Christmas Kindness, but it’s not essential. The best part is knowing that you’ve made another mum smile. We will be adding a little downloadable note on our website if you’d like something to print out and give to the mum.

Please do like, share and invite others to join in.
